FAQs

How do I prepare and change the filter in my Brita® Premium Filtering Water Bottle?

1. Rinse your Brita® Bottle Filter under a strong stream of water for 15 seconds. Be sure to direct the water through all sides of the filter, including the inside, so it washes out any loose carbon particles (first-time use only).
2. Insert the filter and press until flush with the straw.
3. Align the lid and straw. Twist right to lock.
4. Fill with cold water to the Max Fill line.

How often should I change my filter?

Replace your Brita® Bottle Filter every 40 gallons, or about every 2 months, for optimal performance.

How do I clean my Brita® Premium Filtering Water Bottle?

Our Stainless Steel Premium Filtering Water Bottles should be washed by hand. Remove the filter, and then hand-wash with mild dish soap and rinse well. (Never use abrasive detergents or a dishwasher.)

Our Hard-Sided Plastic Premium Filtering Water Bottles are dishwasher safe (top rack only). Remove the filter and place all plastic components, including the bottle and lid, in the top rack. If you prefer to hand-wash, use mild dish soap and rinse well.
